Libya has qualified for the semifinal round of the African Futsal Championship, which is being held in Morocco, after beating Equatorial Guinea 3-1 on Saturday.

This qualification came after Libya had lost its first game against the hosts Morocco 0-3 and avoided playing the second game against Mauritius, which withdrew from the championship.

That made Libya second in the group with 3 points and Morocco first with 6 points, while Equatorial Guinea zero points and Mauritius out of the tournament.

Egypt and Angola qualified from group two before even playing the third round of games of their group.

Morocco is going to play Angola next Wednesday and Libya against Egypt also on the same day as part of the two semifinals. On Friday, the winners of the semifinals will play the final match for the title.

The first three top teams will represent Africa in the World Futsal Championship in Lithuania.
