Flights between Libya and Malta are due to resume on February 01, Medavia Aviation Company has announced, after a halt of more than three months.

The company explained that the civil aviation authorities of Malta have allowed them to restart charter flights between Malta International Airport and Libyan airports.

The civil aviation authorities in Malta had suspended Medavia license for running charter flights between Libya and Malta for more than three months, justifying the suspension for the security situation in Libya.

Mediterranean Aviation Company Limited, doing business as Medavia, is an airline with its head office at Malta International Airport in Luqa. It operates ad hoc charters and long-term leases mainly in North Africa supporting the oil industry and the provision of VIP charters.
