The head of Turkey-Libya Business Council Murtaza Karanfil said they are planning to expand voyages between Libya and Turkey to include new destinations such as Istanbul, Muğla, Antalya and Bursa, for both tourism and trade purposes.

Commenting on the first voyage between Libyan city of Misrata and Turkey’s Izmir, Karanfil stated that everyone is very satisfied with the launch of the new sea line between both countries.

“Economic relations between the two countries should progress faster,” he told DHA news agency, calling on Turkish non-governmental organizations to come together with their Libyan counterparts to boost cooperation.

Karanfil expected that Turkey's presence in Africa, especially its investments and exports to Libya will increase.
