The Minister of Economy and Trade Mohammed Al-Huweij discussed with Palestinian Minister of Trade Mohammed Al-Amour ways to enhance economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

This came during a meeting held Thursday in Cairo on the sidelines of the meeting of the Economic and Social Council at the level of Arab ministers at the headquarters of the League of Arab States.

The two sides discussed activating the Libyan-Palestinian Businesspeople Council to support investment partnerships to enter the Libyan market. The meeting also addressed coordination in the areas of international cooperation to enhance the role of the two countries in regional and international economic organizations, in a way that serves their common interests and supports Arab economic integration.

They also agreed to prepare for a visit of a high-level Palestinian delegation that includes representatives of various economic sectors to Libya next April, with the aim of enhancing joint cooperation and opening new horizons for investment and trade exchange.
