The exploration departments of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) and the Italian company Eni held a broad meeting on Wednesday morning to discuss the exploratory activity of the Italian company in 2023 and expected exploration programs in 2024, according to NOC report on its Facebook account.

The meeting was held at NOC headquarters in Tripoli in the presence of a number of specialists and technicians from NOC Exploration Department, the Director General of Exploration of Eni in Libya and a number of specialists of the company's office in Tripoli, and through the teleconference specialists from Eni company at its headquarters in Milan and a number of specialists from British Petroleum (BP), as well as a number of specialists from the Libyan Investment Company.

NOC said that the meeting comes within the framework of a series of annual technical meetings conducted by the Corporation's Exploration Department with the participating foreign companies, noting that today's meeting is the second with Eni officials regarding A, B, & C blocks where Eni conducts explorations in partnership with British Petroleum and the Libyan Investment Company.

The NOC explained that during the meeting, it discussed with the Italian company exploration activities in 2023 in the  (A,B &C) blocks  granted to it in the Ghadames basin southwest of Libya, the offshore blocks and the proposed works to be implemented in 2024, and the studies underway, in addition to what is proposed for 2024.
