A charity rescue ship recovered the bodies of 11 migrants off the coast of Libya on Friday, following the rescue of over 160 others, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) confirms.
Reuters reported, citing MSF, that its search and rescue vessel saved 146 migrants in two operations and discovered an additional 20 migrants in a separate boat.
The bodies of 11 migrants, observed floating on the sea's surface by a surveillance plane, were also retrieved.
Sea-Watch, whose plane spotted the bodies, said they attempted to contact the Libyan Coast Guard for assistance in recovering the bodies but did not receive a response.
