Al-Wahat Directorate announced the recovery of 19 bodies of illegal immigrants from a mass graves on an abandoned farm in the Jikharra area, saying in a statement on its Facebook page that it had received information about the presence of a mass graves inside a rest house on one of the farms that was used by a well-known criminal network that practiced illegal immigration and human trafficking.
The directorate added that it had begun an inspection of the farm, where a grave containing one body was found, followed by the discovery of another grave containing four bodies, then a third grave containing 14 bodies. It explained that it had contacted the Jalu Red Crescent to recover the bodies and transfer them to the forensic doctor to conduct the necessary examinations in the presence of the head of the Public Prosecution.
The directorate indicated that heavy guard patrols had been placed on the farm until the investigations were completed and the circumstances of the crime were revealed.
