Abdul Mowla Al-Maghrabi - Tripoli Football Association's Head - was elected president of the Libyan Football Federation on Saturday by recommendation from the members of the General Assembly, bringing an end to the controversy over the vacant position since the resignation of Abdul Hakim Al-Shalmani from this position in mid-October.
Al-Maghrabi was elected during the electoral session held on Saturday in Benghazi with a large attendance by the members of the General Assembly, which has the right to vote in the Libyan Football Federation elections: 125 clubs.
The General Assembly of the Libyan Football Federation chose the only advanced list in the Football Association elections headed by Al-Maghrabi with 95 votes from 100 clubs that attended the General Assembly meeting out of 125 clubs.
