The High-level Committee of the African Union (AU) is intending to hold an inclusive conference for Libyan reconciliation, the Special Representative of the Chairperson of the AU Commission in Libya, Wahida Ayari said to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper.
The Libyan parties will determine the agenda of the conference, as it is a Libyan conference under African auspices, Ayari added, expecting that this conference will be a complementary track if the ongoing dialogues fail.
She also indicated that the main goal of the AU is to ensure the independence of the Libyan decision, adding that African and European countries are affected by what is happening in Libya in terms of the presence of mercenaries, weapons and illegal migration.
