The Presidential Council (PC) member, Musa Al-Koni, said on Wednesday that the Council attaches importance to the southern region and is ready to cooperate with the relevant authorities to implement development projects in the area.
Al-Koni's comments came at a meeting with the dignitaries of Ghat on Wednesday.
The residents of the southern regions have played a prominent role in preserving the unity of Libya through their adherence to staying in their homeland despite the substandard services and the challenging living conditions there, a statement by the PC said.
Ghat's delegation praised Al-Koni's efforts to bring stability to the country through the national reconciliation project and the reunion of Libyans, whose slogan is (Libya is the homeland of all), according to the PC media office.
