The Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs in the Government of National Unity Walid Al-Lafi called for launching joint media platforms and enhancing news exchange between Turkish and African media institutions, along with organizing training programs for media professionals.
In a speech during the opening of the Turkish-African Media and Communication Forum in Istanbul on Friday, Al-Lafi pointed out the importance of enhancing media cooperation between Turkey and Africa, stressing the Government of National Unity's interest in developing media partnerships, which would contribute to presenting a balanced and true image of the African continent, according to a statement by the Government of National Unity.
The forum brought together media leaders, journalists and experts from various African countries and Turkey, with the aim of exchanging experiences and enhancing joint media cooperation.
