The Special Envoy of the French President to Libya, Paul Soler, confirmed on Friday his country’s support for stability of Libya, leading to an agreement and a political solution, which lies in achieving parliamentary and presidential elections on the basis of a consensual constitutional framework.

This came during his meeting in Tripoli with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity, Najla Al-Manqoush, where they discussed developments in the political process in Libya, and ways to enhance strategic cooperation relations between the two countries, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs media office.

For her part, Al-Manqoush stressed the importance of France's effective role in following up on the outcomes of the Paris Conference on Libya, and providing its assistance to Libya in order to reach the goals of the conference.
