Tunisian Health Minister Mustafa Al-Farjani has called for enhanced collaboration with Libya and France to build a regional pharmaceutical industrial force.

Speaking at the first Tunisian-Libyan-French forum on joint health sector development, Al-Farjani emphasized the potential for a complementary partnership. He highlighted France's advanced biotechnology expertise, Tunisia's skilled workforce in pharmaceuticals and healthcare, and Libya's need for healthcare reconstruction as key factors for cooperation.

The initiative aims to achieve pharmaceutical security, boost investments, and ensure sustainable development across the three countries.

French Ambassador to Tunisia, Anne Gueguen, noted the longstanding French-Tunisian partnership in healthcare, which includes funding health infrastructure projects and digital health programs in Tunisia. She added that the trilateral cooperation could facilitate exports to African markets, positioning Tunisia and Libya as key gateways to the continent.
