The Head of the High Council of State (HCS), Khalid Al-Mishri, discussed with the British Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall, the adoption of a roadmap for the implementation of electoral laws by the House of Representatives and HCS.
The media office of the HCS said that the meeting in Tripoli saw the two sides stress the need for holding elections as per the electoral laws resulting from the 6+6 Joint Committee, given that "these results are final and binding, and can only be amended by the joint committee."
The meeting saw a review of the possibility of holding discussions and dialogues to increase consensus among political parties to reach the desired elections, in addition to reviewing the national identification number system and the administrative registry.
