The Head of the Presidential Council (PC) of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj, issued an order to ministers, heads of official bodies and all government agencies to desist communication with the new PC and its newly elected government until it had completed its legitimacy according to the law.

Al-Sarraj’s order indicated that the present PC needs to adhere to work controls within public institutions and to disassociate with communication with the leadership emerging from the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) until total legitimacy was gained for sovereign action, including the holding of meetings without the consent of the present leadership.
