Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense in the Government of National Unity, Abdul Salam Al-Zoubi, has met with the UK Defence Attaché to discuss cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed training programs, and the Ministry’s efforts to activate the functions of the Border Guard and the Coast Guard, according to the Ministry of Defense Facebook page.

The meeting comes within the framework of international efforts to support Libyan efforts to secure the borders, especially in the south of the country, in order to help combat terrorism and illegal immigration, which were the focus of previous meetings of the British military attaché with military leaders in Tripoli and Benghazi.
