Around 90 migrants are feared dead after their boat capsized off Zuwara while en route to Italy late on Thursday, the Security Directorate of Zuwara (SDZ) has reported.
The SDZ said it had received a report from local citizens of a dead body on the shore, but when a police patrol moved to the site, it found 11 bodies: 10 from Pakistan and a woman from Libya.
“3 people were rescued: 1 Libyan and 2 Pakistanis,” it confirmed.
The SDZ added that search for the missing migrants is still continuing.
