Security forces have arrested a man it was hunting for allegedly being involved in human trafficking activities, the Interior Ministry confirmed on Saturday.

According to the ministry, the operation was carried out by the task patrols of the General Directorate of Security Operations upon the orders of the Public Prosecutor.

In a report, last June, the International Organization for Migration stated that 1,614 irregular migrants were subjected to human trafficking practices between July 2020 and the same month of 2022.
