The administration of US President Joe Biden has protested to the Israeli government over the disclosure of the meeting of Israeli Foreign Minister with dismissed Libyan counterpart Najla Al-Mangoush, according to the US Axios website.
Axios stated that the US administration informed the Israeli Foreign Ministry that the disclosure of the meeting will harm Washington's efforts and interests.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry disavowed its responsibility for the disclosure of Cohen and Al-Mangoush's meeting, and said in a brief statement, contrary to what was published, “the leak related to the meeting was not issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the minister's office, without providing further details”.
