The United Nations Support Mission in Libya said on Friday that the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Abdulaye Bathily, was briefed on the outcome of the meeting held between the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqila Saleh, and the President of the High Council of State, Khaled Al-Mishri, hosted by the Moroccan government in the capital, Rabat.
Bathily welcomed the resumption of dialogue between the two men, and expressed his readiness to discuss details, mechanisms and timetables for the implementation of their commitments.
Bathily urged all Libyan leaders to engage in an inclusive dialogue as the only way to overcome the current impasse and meet the aspirations of the Libyan people.
