The British Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall, has announced that the London meeting, which included representatives of six countries in addition to Britain, discussed supporting the Libyan-owned political process and supporting the leadership of the UN envoy to Libya, Abdulaye Bathily.

Hurndall revealed in a tweet that the meeting included representatives from the United States of America, Turkey, Italy, Germany, France and Egypt.

She also disclosed that it was agreed on the need for a constitutional basis leading to free, fair and inclusive elections, expressing her thanks to the UN envoy for sharing his first impressions.
