Attorney General Sadiq Assour convened with a delegation from the International Criminal Court (ICC) to deliberate on the ongoing investigation into severe violations documented in Tarhuna in recent years.

These discussions followed prior engagements between Assour and the ICC Deputy Prosecutor, alongside Libya's court coordinator, as disclosed by the Attorney General's office on Friday.

According to the Attorney General, the meeting addressed the progress of investigations led by the Court's Prosecutor's Office concerning the grave violations in Tarhuna.

It underscored the importance of harmonizing national and international judicial efforts and empowering the national public prosecution to hold perpetrators accountable and thwart any attempts at evading justice.
