The head of the Council of Benghazi Dignitaries and Elders in the western region, Ali Sati, has denied negotiating with Dignity Operation side for the return of the displaced people to the city.

In a statement to a local channel Monday, Sati explained that their outreach was limited to the UN Mission through a workshop to guarantee the rights of the displaced, adding that they have set a number of conditions in the event of any agreement to ensure the return of all the displaced people of the city.

"The purpose is to achieve social reconciliation and not a military one," Sati insisted, rejecting to hold any talks with Dignity Operation.

A number of social networking pages circulated news about efforts to hold a dialogue between Khalifa Haftar and Benghazi IDPs for the purpose of reconciliation between the two parties.
