Demonstrators in the city of Derna condemned the siege imposed on the city after Friday prayers. Protesters were furious at the continued siege of the city and the prevention of basic materials being allowed to enter the city.

Demonstrators held the House of Representatives (HoR) and the UN proposed Presidential Council responsible for the siege, and appealed to the UN envoy to Libya to intervene and save civilian lives.

The demonstrators also demanded that urgent relief be sent to the city by sea, stressing that the city's port is ready to receive any aid or basic material that would help ease the suffering of the people as a result of the blockade.
