Stephane Dujarric, the spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, said Wednesday that if the UN Security Council endorsed a resolution backing up the permanent ceasefire agreement in Libya, the country could regain peace and stability more steadily.
Dujarric said those remarks in a press conference in New York, where he spoke of Guterres's position on issuing a resolution that backs up Libya's ceasefire agreement.
Dujarric indicated that a united and swift resolution by the UN Security Council would be always useful for Libyan parties and their efforts to achieve peace and stability.
