The European Delegation to Libya held a meeting on Thursday with the Libyan Joint Military Committee 5+5 in Rome.
The meeting aimed highlighting the ongoing partnership between the EU and Libya; in order to promote a unified and stable Libya, in implementation of the 2020 ceasefire agreement, according to a statement posted by EU Delegation to Libya on its Facebook page.
The meeting focused on three topics and foremost European Union's support for implementing and maintaining the ceasefire agreement, including through enhancing the integration of forces and joint operations, the statement added.
The attendees also discussed the activities carried out by the "EUNAVFOR MED IRINI" operation, especially with regard to the availability of the operation to support capacity building and training of Libyan maritime institutions.
