The Head of the European Union (EU) Mission in Libya, Alan Bugeja, praised the level of preparation by the High National Electoral Commission (HNEC) in the country.
This came during his visit to the Commission’s headquarters in Tripoli and his meeting with its President, Imad Al-Sayah, according to a statement published by the HNEC on its official Facebook page.
The two parties discussed methods of support to present to the HNEC in the field of managing and running the proposed elections, in light of the challenges facing it due to the spread of the Coronavirus Pandemic, also how to best avail of several international experiences in order to control the spread of the ominous virus.
