Libya is negotiating to buy 750,000 tons of Russian wheat, Foreign Minister Mohamed Siyala said on Thursday in a statement to Sputnik on the sidelines of the Strasbourg International Economic Forum, which touched on the most important areas of cooperation between Russia and Libya.

Siyala stated that he hoped that the Russians will return to unfinished projects signed by Russia with Libya and also participate in major projects, which are being offered in the rebuilding of the country in fields of electricity, oil and gas, railways and procurement of the armed forces.

Siyala is taking part in the 22nd annual International Economic Forum in the Russian city of St. Petersburg from 24–26 May 2018.
