The General Director of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), Ibrahim Al-Falah, discussed with the Ambassador of the European Union to Libya, Jose Sabadell, the likelihood of the EU’s contribution to the maintenance of generation stations in Libya.

This came during a meeting on Monday at the company’s headquarters in the area of Swani in Tripoli, according to the company media office.

Both parties also discussed the prospect of scrutinizing the present situation of communication and control systems and the possibility of financing a pilot project in ‘solar energy’ in at least one of the regions, concurring that a follow up of these topics was necessary periodically.
