The Director of the Media Department at the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), Mohammed Al-Takouri, has stated that the electrical grid situation is stable, explaining that it has not recorded any deficit so far for the first time in several years.

Al-Takouri added that the noticeable improvement came as a result of the maintenance of the generation units, and the entry of many new projects into the stage of operational trials.

He also pointed out that there are a number of new stations in Tobruk, Misrata, and western Tripoli, which will soon be operated, saying that the electricity crisis is almost over in Libya.
