The Government of National Unity (GNU) has called on parties in Niger to restraint, refrain from the use of force, and take the only way to change, which is respect for the constitution and the law, by following peaceful transfer of power.
“We in Libya, and as we look with great anticipation and concern at the development of the unfortunate events in Niger, we affirm our support for the path of returning to the constitutional order, and respect for the legitimacy represented by President Mohamed Bazoum”, GNU said.
"From our position as a neighboring country that connects us geographically, history and ethnicities, we warn that external interference in Niger's affairs and attempts to drag it into chaos will increase the seriousness of the crisis and undermine its security and the security of its neighbors."
