The Minister of Transport of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Mohammed Al-Shahoubi, and the UAE Minister of Economy and Chairman of the General Civil Aviation Authority, Abdullah bin Touq Al-Mari, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at lifting restrictions on passenger and air cargo movement between the two countries.
According to Hakomitna platform, this step aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the aviation sector, facilitate air travel, and contribute to boosting trade and investment exchanges, as well as enhancing economic ties between the two countries.
The GNU has previously signed a series of agreements with other countries, such as Tunisia, Egypt, and Turkey, with the goal of reopening its airspace and enhancing cooperation in the aviation sector.
