The member of the High Council of State (HCS) Fathallah Al-Sariri said that the Council referred the amendments approved by the House of Representatives (HoR) to the relevant committees of the HCS for study and consultation.
Sariri explained that the HCS objected to some of the terms contained in Article II of the amendment, such as referring to the HCS as a consultative body and not legitimizing any bodies or posts established before the HoR's new amendment, which is contrary to the spirit of the political agreement, as he put it.
