Interior Minister, Fathi Bashagha demanded the competent security organs to abide by the legislation provided for by law, in the arrest and detention of persons.
In a letter to the ministry's Office of Human Rights, Inspection, and Follow-up, Bashagha called for the monitoring of any human rights violations.
He also urged to report any acts of abuses or violations of stipulated controls, as well as monitoring the work and performance of the law enforcement officers.
