The President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Laura Boldrini, has regretted the siege of civilians in Derna by Dignity Operation forces, calling it a clear violation of human rights.

During her meeting with President of the High Council of State, Abdul-Rahman Al-Swaihli, in Rome on Friday, she called on all parties to work for ending this siege and alleviate the suffering of the city's inhabitants.

Dignity Operation forces have been sieging Derna for months, preventing access of food, fuel and medical supplies to the city.
