The director of what is known as the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, Balqasim Khalifa Haftar, accompanied by a number of the Fund’s work team, met with the Deputy Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya, Stephanie Koury, and her accompanying delegation.
According to a statement by the Fund, Koury praised “the efforts of the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund in achieving stability and peace through reconstruction projects and the speed of their completion in a large number of Libyan cities and regions,” without adding further details about the content of the meeting.
Last June, Balqasim Haftar provided Koury with an explanation about the strategy for rebuilding the cities and regions included in the Development and Reconstruction Fund’s work plan.
