Lavrov and Kubis discuss recent developments in the Libyan file

The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, held discussions with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Libya, Jan Kubis on a number of matters relating to the present situation in Libya.
Both sides stressed during the talks, the significance of a speedy approval by the House of Representatives (HoR) in the formation of the National Unity Government, adding that this step would be seen as a turning point on the road to a more extensive formalization of the hopes for the future situation in Libya, along with implementing constitutional reform and holding elections in the country, which is expected to take place on December 24, 2021.
