The Health Ministry said that a European-made medicine for leishmaniasis treatment will arrive in the country this weekend.
"A previous shipment from India channelled through the Foreign Ministry, consisting of around 95 injections for the treatment of Leishmania was suspended," the ministry clarified in a statement Monday.
The Ministry added that it had banned the shipment and halted its distribution, upon a letter from the Food and Drug Control Centre, concerning the non-conformity of the shipment to the standards.
