Libya has condemned the attack against the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital, Damascus, which resulted in fatalities and injuries.
In a statement, Libya's Foreign Ministry expressed its rejection of such acts, considering them a violation of the Vienna Agreement on diplomatic relations and all laws and conventions governing diplomatic work.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced on Tuesday the deaths of Generals Mohammad Reza Zahedi and Mohammad Hadi Hajirahimi, along with five of their comrades, in the Israeli airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
