The Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity has announced the voluntary deportation of an unspecified number of illegal migrants to Egypt through the Amsaed border crossing.
The ministry said in a brief statement that this deportation comes within the framework of its efforts to enhance regional cooperation to ensure the safe and legal return of migrants, without adding further details.
On January 3, the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency announced the deportation of 56 Egyptian migrants through the Amsaed border crossing as well.
