The Chargé d'Affairs of the Libyan Embassy in Ukraine, Adel Issa, has assured that all Libyan families and students in the Ukrainian city of Sumy, which is under bombardment by the Russian troops, are on their way to a safe place.

Issa called on Libyan nationals remaining in Ukraine to assemble in Lviv in preparation for their evacuation to the border crossing with Poland. He said the route was changed due to the overcrowding at the Slovakian border and for the sake of the safety of families there.

Issa said the Libyan embassy continues work from its temporary HQ in Lviv to facilitate procedures for the members of the Libyan community stranded in Ukraine.
