libyan visa

The Passports and Nationality Authority has announced the launch of an electronic visa system for granting Libyan visas for foreigners, in coordination with other relevant administrative authorities.

During a meeting held at the headquarters of the Council of Ministers, the Passports Authority submitted a proposal for discussion to grant e-visa for foreigners.

The proposal explains the mechanism for granting visas to foreigners previously, and how to develop a practical mechanism for introducing the technology to grant and regulate visas.

The attendees of the meeting also agreed that Libya’s missions abroad, “embassies or consulates,” are the only authority authorized to receive documents, paper or electronically, and grant visas according to the terms and conditions that are coordinated between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Passports Authority, to facilitate procedures for applicants.
