The Government of National Unity (GNU) on Wednesday approved a resolution to exempt specific categories of Egyptian and Turkish nationals travelling to Libya from visa fees.

In a brief statement, the GNU said the relevant decision issued by Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah comes in application "of the principle of reciprocity."

According to the statement, the exemption covers Egyptian children under the age of 18, men over 45, and women of all age groups.

As for the Turks, Children under 18, as well as men and women over 55 are exempted from visa requirements.

In recent years, Turkey and Egypt have excluded Libyan citizens, including children, as well as women and men over the age of 45, from obtaining entry visas.
