The Libyan national football team lost its second match in the qualifiers for the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) against Benin 1-2 on Tuesday at Felix Stadium in Ivory Coast.

Libya took the lead through with a goal by Faisal Al-Badri from a penalty kick at the sixth minute of the match, ending the first half 1-0.

In the second half, at the 50th minute, Benin leveled the score and at the 59th minute, Benin scored the winning goal from a penalty kick. 

With the results of the second round of Group Four, the Nigerian team is at the top of the standings with four points, followed by Benin in second place with 3 points, then Rwanda with two points, and Libya at the bottom of the group  with a single point.
