The Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational and Training Institutions has received international recognition from the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) for a decade, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research stated on Saturday.

The ministry highlighted its efforts and the Prime Minister's support as it expressed gratitude to all the technical teams involved in preparing the centre's file in compliance with the requirements of the International Federation.

In particular, the medical faculties of universities, including Tripoli, Misrata, Benghazi, and the Libyan International University of Medical Sciences, have been singled out for their contributions.

The WFME is a non-governmental organization that focuses on the education and training of doctors worldwide. Its primary objective is to enhance the quality of medical education while promoting scientific and ethical standards in medical education. The organization establishes standards for medical education, encourages college accreditation, and participates in managing the global directory of medical schools.
