Labor Ministry

The Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation announced that Libya has been selected for membership of the Board of Directors of the International Labour Organization, representing Africa for three years.

This came after an electronic vote by member states at the organization’s 112th session in Geneva, according to the ministry’s statement on its Facebook page on Friday.

In its current session, the conference discussed vital issues related to work and ways to improve work conditions around the world and that such conditions to be enshrined in international labour standards. The conference agenda also included a set of topics on basic principles and rights at work and setting standards related to biological risks, decent work and social justice.
