Libyan Airlines has expressed deep regret and condemnation of the repeated targeting of airplanes inside airports in Libya.

The latest was the rocket attack on a plane belonging to Libya Airlines at Mitiga International Airport last Thursday.

In a statement Saturday, Libyan Airlines said that the plane would be temporarily out of service, noting that it had proceeded to take measures to avoid any delays that could affect travelers at home and abroad.

It called on everyone to contribute to maintaining the safety and security of the airplanes and spare them from any attacks and clashes, especially that the Libyan citizens are the most to be affected by such acts.
