The member of the Tobruk-based parliament Essam Al-Jihani described those who oppose his political vision as “donkeys,” adding on his Facebook page “Those who say otherwise than Senussi and Cyrenaica army and flag are donkeys.”
This statement comes after less than a month of Al-Jihani’s participation in a forum for separation views proposed by Cyrenaica and attended by boycotting and withdrawing Presidential Council members Ali Gotrani and Fathi Al-Mijibri successively, among others.
The attendees advocated for separation of Cyrenaica from Libya and spoke ill of Tripoli.
