Libyan Red Crescent buries 36 unidentified bodies in Benghazi

The Libyan Red Crescent in Benghazi buried on Saturday 36 unidentified bodies in the city's public cemeteries.

In a press statement, the Head of Information of the General Secretariat of the Libyan Red Crescent, Bahaa al-Kawash, said that the bodies have been kept in the morgue of Benghazi Medical Center (BMC) for more than 5 months, noting that DNA samples were taken from the bodies before being buried.

Last Monday, the head of BMC morgue, Ahmed Al-Amami, called the Libyan Red Crescent to speed up the burial of the bodies accumulated inside the morgue because the remains have already started to decompose.
