The Minister of Education, Musa Mohammed Al-Magarif, and the Representative and Country Director of the United Nations World Food Program (WFP), Rawad Al-Halabi, signed on Monday, a memorandum of understanding to implement the school food program.

During the meeting, Al-Maqrif stressed that he would form a committee to monitor the program, praising the efforts of the WFP in supporting primary and middle school students, noting that he would follow up on this with inspection tours of educational institutions.

For her part, Al-Halabi indicated that the formation of the committee will give impetus to its launch, stressing that Libya has been one of the leading countries in school feeding since the early seventies of the last century.
